    Yoooo,

Been looking to mount an iPad in my 2015 Taco without having to rip out the existing radio. I started to put something together and found this mount on Amazon by accident. It's the SCOSCHE Dash Mount for iPad Air 2, and 9.7 Pro. The Description and box says it will work with an iPad Air 1 but that's a "misprint".

Anyway, it's held in place by two 3M adhesive strips and holds the iPad in place well - but not so tight that you can't quickly pull it out if you HAVE to use the backup camera. Thing cost me about 10 dead presidents. Here is the link.

Below are some "install" pics. Been on for a few days and so far so good. I like that is pretty low key and not super obnoxious.

Stupid guy asking stupid questions here...Does it do anything other than just hold the iPad? Does it control the radio? If it's wireless, how does it sync to the radio?

I’m interested is this, it looks like you play music on this. So if that’s the case you must have a iPad with a data plan. I’m thinking about getting a new iPad and was going to get one with t mobile or one of the other carriers.
I’m clueless about just data plans for iPads. What kind of plan do you have? How much is it a month?
    Thanks!

Well I only use my radio for music anyway so this works for me. I don’t have nav and I dont use built in weather app. I connected the iPad to the radio with Bluetooth so I don’t have to plug in - unless I need to charge the iPad. Today I was able to join a webinar while I drove between sites at work which was cool. As far as data, you can use an iPad with cellular or you can use your phone as a hotspot. Or you can get a separate hotspot from your mobile carrier. For now I’m using my phone as a hotspot. Can’t remember my plan...

I also have a bunch of music and videos on it for when I’m in a dead zone.

If you’re in the market for a new iPad, consider a hotspot and an iPad without cellular vs a new iPad with cellular. The iPad will be cheaper and you can do more with a separate hotspot.

Yeah - two strips that are already attached to the mount. Clean the area with the supplied alcohol wipe and stick on.

Would this dash kit fit for 05-11 models?
