Washing my vehicles isHis always aLa challenge because I always get heavy amounts of water spots. Now I know all of you will say that you should wash your vehicle on a cool day in the shade, but to be fair, that's not practical for me. I live in a fairly urban area where trees are few and far between. So to try and fix this, I went and bought the Hydro Life Pre-Fill Water Filter with Calcium Blocker from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Hydro-Life-5...&qid=1591019990&sprefix=hydro+life+cal&sr=8-3). I went this route because I'm not a professional detailer and just wanted to try and eliminate the water spots for cheap; this cost about $40. I got a chance to use this yesterday and wanted to give you my review and impressions of it. The weather was sunny, somewhat windy (10-15 mph) and about 78F.

The Review - The unit simply connected easily between my outdoor spigot and my hose. You need to run the hose for a few minutes because there's some greyish material that will exit the filter until the water comes clear; it's most likely carbon dust. I then washed my truck and then rinsed it off. I found that if I let it dry completely on its own, I did see a little bit of water spots. Now while this wasn't perfect, it was by far much less than I have ever seen before. Before it would have been near impossible to get rid of the spots using a microfiber towel, but these came off easily.

My conclusion... while not perfect, overall I was extremely pleased with the results for an item that's fairly inexpensive. I'd give it a thumbs up.

Thanks for the review! I live in a rural area and depend on well water that is loaded with minerals and methane. I don't use it to wash our trucks because of this. I just might give this a try....
