Hey I wanted to make a post to let y’all know if you haven’t tried Shawn Andersons intake manifold spacer you should get you one made a huge difference in how to truck pulls truck throws you back in the seat a little when you stomp on it now it accelerates easier with less throttle truck can climb hills much easier now and acceleration feels smoother and I expect it to help my mpg out a bit be careful when installing it not to bump the coolant bypass hose has a little plastic barb that can easily snap but if it does snap you could get a metal replacement tube and avoid it in future .. but that was only real issue I ran into other than one that I sort of expected after install of spacer my intake tube wouldn’t reach throttle body it is an hps silicone intake hose the solution was to get a silicone coupler same size and a stainless steel joiner and some hose clamps to connect it to the air box side of hose had to trim coupler and intake hose just a little but then it lined up drives great if you have any questions ask me or you can go to his website Anderson Engineering Solutions LLC

that was the biggest sentence I've ever read in my life, is your period button broken?o_O theres no way I'm spending $500-300 for a spacer with no solid proof that it actually increases hp/trq. I've only heard people say it brings down the peak torque a little bit in the RPM range. if the spacer was $150 or less I would be a customer. Can't believe people actually spend hundreds of dollars for a plastic spacer, holy sh*t!

Yeah but if you "stomp on it throws you back in the seat a little" said no one ever until now regarding a 2.7l.:D

If you want to convince us the mod is more than a gimmick, then post YouTube proof of before mod & after mod gains in speed when going up a hill at full throttle.

There’s an old thread about the first guy to make an intake manifold spacer. It had dyno sheets in it with different mods and the intake spacer worked really well with the old style lce header. And I don’t believe it make a giant difference in torque but the spacer header combo moved the peak torque down 7-800 rpm on the dyno sheet

Yeah the spacer and lce header together are a nice combo gives you more power at lower rpm’s

It's very expensive for a plastic spacer! Anyone have any experience for the 2016+ 3.5? I want to know if it helps hold 6th gear better at interstate speeds. 75+

I'm still getting used to the added power but so far great addition. Yeah bit spendy , but what isn't on our Tacomas lol

How is your spacer holding up? Did you end up getting thr derlin or aluminum version? What kinds of improvements have you notice? I honestly don't mind having my powerband move to the lower rpm which our tacoma lacks. The engine barely Rev up to 5000-6000k anyways.

It's holding up great . I went with the high strength plastic . Definitely better power on the bottom end. I think it's been a great addition for the v6

I appreciate your input. I plan to place an order soon. I desire more low end torque, as well as more acceleration. My truck usually runs at 1,500–3,500 rpm. I can't wait to pair this with the tune that I already have. Thanks again!

those preset tunes dont take in mods into consideration. while it might help a little bit along with the tune, you truly need to dyno tune a car with mods to get the full advantage and for most people paying that dyno time isnt practical.

Hey which tune are you currently running? And did you have to get them to make a custom one for the spacer, or are you running the regular tunes those without spacers are running? I am currently running OTT.
