Personal Review: 4 out of 5

    3 Pros:
    1. It looks OEM, I love how no one would even know it was there if I didn't tell them.
    2. Decent picture quality (On the high definition version)
    3. Doesn't use up any USB/charging ports and very very basic connection. No need to drop headliner or run a wire (Front camera only), ties into your LDA.

    3 Cons:
    1. Mine does not record audio. Common issue that might be fixed by requesting an updated firmware from the supplier, but this has been known to potentially brick your dashcam or cause it to record upside down going forward.
    2. You can't "upgrade" and add the rear second camera to your existing 1 camera version.
    3. It's a little pricey ($175 on Amazon for the 4K single camera version)

    Opinion:
Purchased the FitcamX Dash Cam for the 3rd Gen Tacoma. I have been using it for 6 months now, and it's a great peace of mind. Originally I had an SR Tacoma with a non-powered mirror, so I had limited options for mounting a dashcam with hidden wires. Now that I have a TRD Pro, I might decide to switch to the dongar and GoPro/mini Garmin setup down the road. Be very careful removing the red clips off your old LDA cover as they are fragile and you need them for the new unit. When trying to manage the wires, I find pushing the new wire harness up towards the headliner is the best way to get the new unit to slide in easily. Just be sure that the 2 red clips aren't blocked by the wires when you push it back, it doesn't take much force to install it - so if your pushing hard, you're likely caught on a wire.

I just got mine delivered today. I'll be installing both the front and rear cams either tomorrow or Sunday.
When I bought mine it said that you cannot ADD a rear unless you specifically buy the unit with the 2nd camera. When I opened the box I found out why. Under the cover there are built in 2 leads, one for the power and one for the rear cam. I can only assume that if you did not buy the rear cam the pigtail for the rear cam would not be in there, and only have the power plug.

In addition, mine did come with a plastic non-marring tool to shove the wires around the headliner and an adapter with a USB-A USB-C plug so that I can pull the included flash card out to view any videos that it records.

I noted that there are two buttons on the bottom of the unit, one a power button and the other, it appears, to take a single photo with.

I also have a "clear" Xpel Ceramic film (tint) on my windshield so I'm interested to see how well the video is.
