What options are out there for retractable side steps, either manual or powered?

I looked at those yesterday. So expensive just to look cool.

Agreed. Looking for something affordable but functional. Not trying to impress anyone. After 27 years of marriage, I've given up on that!

I have the AMP steps. I did not buy for the looks, I bought them to aide in entry/exit and they do that quite well. The fact that they look good is a bonus.:D

Yes, they were more expensive than stationary step bars/boards/etc. They are however a good deal lower than the OEM boards that came on my truck, which were just under the floor height. Due to the fact that the OEM were not low enough to offer any assistance on entry/exit they basically became shopping cart defense and an obstacle for entry/exit. The AMP steps are down when needed and tuck up to the rockers out of the way while driving which give more clearance.
They were the 2nd mod I did to the truck. In my opinion they are with ever penny I spent on them and would buy them again in a heartbeat. :spending:

I can not say that for every mod I have done to this or my previous trucks.
