I swear I searched and searched , see nothing here.

My first mod was factory 3 inch chrome steps , I don't like them and they do not help me or my wife get into my rig -

Prior to getting them, I stepped in and out of taco's with predators and the 5 inch oval, and just did not care for those either , the pic's of the 3inch ( could not find a taco with those when I was test stepping!) looked like more of a drop from the door entry, but the amount is too little to help

I found good info on the amp one's but I do not like the price

Anyone got input on the rough counrty ones?

Am I seeing it correct these have 3 mounts vs 2 , reading install instructions of both, I feel like these use less cheap splice connectors ( not that I cannot throw those crappy things away and do it with good connectors and solder ) But all I am looking at is paper instructions, looking for real world input.. Thank you

Maybe look into flat steps instead of oval bars.

After looking at these, I am now somewhat interested in them. They look to be better than the AMP version which requires drilling into the frame.

I have seen a couple of AMPs have their motors break down, thus losing the retracting function. I wonder bout the durability of these.

I just installed a pair last weekend. Got them for $600 from the RC site and they were at my doorstep 2 days later. Install took me and a buddy maybe 4 hours.

I like them so far and they function as intended, but there are a few kinks I haven’t worked out:
    1. There is some vibration when the steps deploy. It sounds like they rub against something near the brackets when they initially release. I haven’t located the issue yet, but I’ve seen others mention adjustments so I’ll have to look into that some more.
    2. They bump the bracket each time they retract, which causes a small thud to be heard. Wish they’d put a rubber stopper or something for that.
All in all I’d buy them again. Can’t beat the $600 price tag. I’d act fast though. They’re already gone on RC’s site.

Here’s a video I took the night after installing. You can actually hear the vibration and knock I was talking about. Had to use Imgur due to file size and type.
