Anybody got one for their home garage?

The ceiling in my garage is 11'-3".

I wanted a MaxJax few years ago but the prices on these have jumped the shark after Bendpak bought them out.

Our biggest vehicle is 2016 Sequoia, then my '19 Tacoma and wife's daily driver '13 Lexus IS250.

Obviously I have to get a new opener to route the garage door tracks to go all the way up to the ceiling to make clearance for the lift.

The concrete slab in my garage is 4" thick, does 4-post need more than 4" thick footing?

I don’t have one (yet) but I’ve done some research. All legit manufacturers will have their install instructions posted on line. You’ll find all your questions answered.

With a 4” slab, you’re most likely will need to cut out the section and excavate a few more inches to meet manufacturer specs.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
It all depends on the foot print of the lift.

Many years ago the lift sat on a frame on the floor that spread the weight of the supports over a much larger area.

One thing make sure what ever lift you get you have stop for the tallest vehicle you don`t push through the roof.

    That was an expensive lesson.

    Happy Shopping!

Look into Quickjack. I have a set, and they're fantastic. Not quite as portable as a regular car/truck jack, but doable.

Don’t have a lift here but agree on the above regarding thickness. The spec of the concrete is also important… how many psi it was made to support. Good luck, I’m jealous. Our garage ceiling isn’t high enough for it to make sense.

Years ago when we lived at a different township, the local codes require permit/inspections for all lifts. Also our insurance at that time would switch us to commercial policies if we put a lift in a home. That's why I was looking at portable lifts such as MaxJax. Not sure if that's still the case.

I could have called the city engineering dept to located the builder's plans and callouts, but I'm hesitant to invite the man into my homestead.
