Can someone please tell me how to reset the maintenance light on my trd sport? I had the dealer to the 5k maintenance before it was due and now that I hit 5k the maintenance light came on. I tried the procedures for the 2015 and it didn't work and the only reference to 2016's I've found is below and I can't seem to get that to work either.

"Hold down the odometer reset while the car is off(acc off as well) for 3 to 5 seconds roughly then push the start button with your foot off the gas all while keeping the odometer button held down. You will see horizontal lines in the odometer spot go across then you can let go of the odometer button. This will reset the warning light, do it again after your oil change and it will start the counter over for you then so it will come on 4500 miles from your oil change."

At how many miles did your maintenance light turn on? Exactly 5k? Mine turned on at about 4500, maybe it's something else?

I had it done at roughly 4,400 and a message came on at about 4,500 and a slightly more persistent one came on at 5k.

Have you read your owner's manual?

Yes, I'm sure there's a chance I overlooked it but all I could find was "Reset the oil replacement reminder light ("Maint reqd") or the message "Oil maintenance required" on the multi-information display after maintenance at every 5,000 miles"

I believe you can do it though the settings tab on the multi display.

Thank you for that video...I have been trying to get mine off for a few weeks now. Somehow I missed the part about the odometer needing to be on trip A.

I have not even bothered with the free ones but I can understand why people would want to use them.

just use them for oil change and rotate tires....its a pain in the ass to change oil, but I don’t mind....plus I can get the seat properly documented on fraying numerous times before they will have to warranty it out...then i will get clazzio covers.

You can also use the steering wheel buttons to scroll to the reset maintenance light section then you don't have to bother setting to trip A and turning off and on.
