Have a low TIRE pressure warning. The tires are all 34psi. The dash gauge all show a just the dash line. No pressure numbers. Is there some kind of reset for this? 2019 TRD

I think there's a button by the lever to pop the hood.

If you first hop in the truck without driving it will just show those dashes and will do that also after pressing Reset. If after you drive for awhile it still shows those dashes then you need to visit the dealer.

The reset button is so your truck can relearn the position of where the wheels are. If you are getting dashes for pressure and you are not getting the tpms light, it will probably work. What it means is that it knows the IDs, but doesn't know where they are. Sometimes you have to manually load the positions into the TPMS ECU. If the TPMS light is on, that means your sensors are not communicating with the ECU. On a new truck that you haven't replace the wheels, that could be a deeper issue.

With that mindset you might as well remove your seat belts and air bags too. Just because you didn't need it before, doesn't mean it's not necessary now. Having TPMS sensors can be a pain, but they do prevent blowouts, accidents, improve gas mileage and prevent unnecessary costly tire replacements. Even if you check your tire pressure daily, you won't notice the nail in your tire quicker then the TPMS sensor will alert you to it.

also, and I put this in another thread. if for whatever reason it doesn't know all the IDs like if one was replaced or you rotate in a 5th, when you press that button to reset it can freeze the system. if that is your case a tire shop will likely have a scanner and can tell you id numbers and where they are so it can be reprogrammed in techstream

Usually the button will fix the issue. The manual gives you a rundown on the process for relearning the system, which involves going from ignition mode, to holding it down a certain length of time and driving x amount of time at x speed. Or you could have my issue and the dealer reprogrammed the sensors to the ones on your 3 month a year snow tire/wheel setup without telling you and when you ask them to reprogram it back to the stock wheels, they want to charge you...

If its not going away, it could be an issue with the spare tire sensor. My mom's toyota highlander had a broken tire pressure sensor in her spare, she never got around to fixing it because it was not a huge priority. It would go away when we reset it w/ the button but it would come back after a few seconds.
