Hey guys, I'm a bit confused on the torque spec for my top nuts of both my front struts. I'm using Monroe quick struts that I installed months ago. Since the install, they've made some rattling noise on bumps, but I didn't think much of.

Finally decided to try and see how tight they were, and I was surprised at how little resistance there was when tightening by hand with a wrench. I'm guessing these were never tight, or if that's the way they're supposed to be. So, I stopped messing with them to get an opinion from you guys.

Tried looking for some details on a torque spec for these, but could only find the spec for the three nuts on the strut cap, and the bottom bolt that is on the lower control arm.

Also, took some pictures and I was a bit disturbed by the difference in number of teeth on the top strut.

If it’s the middle one do not unloose that or you will have a huge problem with the spring taking you out

That middle bolt holds the spring load

It's the middle one, and I don't know how tight these are supposed to be

I’m not sure either but be very careful cause it’s holding the coil on if loosed you will launch the coil most likely in your face and injuries will happen

You're spinning the shock shaft inside the shock. That nut just sandwiches the top plate onto the shock shaft, you need to hold the shaft if you want to torque it.
