I know they’re somewhat kinda threads on this topic but are there any extremely reputable dealerships in the United States where i can order a new Tacoma from??
*For example, other makes have certain known dealerships if you wanted under invoice pricing for say a Ram 1500 or F150 as an example.*

You’re going to get a bunch of random responses from people all over the country.

Might be better off asking in a regional forum for an area you wish to buy from.

If you're willing to get one from California, I got mine at John elway crown Toyota in Ontario, Ca. No markup and a refundable 500 deposit. Only bad thing is you can only pick from what they've got coming down the pipeline.

Another vote for John Elway Toyota. A buddy of mine just ordered his wife a new Camry there; no dealer mark-up and offered him a more then fair deal for his trade.

Don't deal with the salesman Miguel though. That dude straight up ghosted me. Stopped answering my calls and texts. I didn't even hound him as much as I did other dealers.

In pre covid times, I'd recommend Longo over Crown anyday. Crown won't budge and sell under MSRP. Longo would. But in this market, they're both firm at MSRP.

Funny thing was that Miguel was waiting for an allocation and working with the same salesman at Longo that I was.

Also, I was at crown yesterday. They have a TRD Sport DCLB A/T 4x2 in Lunar rock for 40k sitting right out front.

    Oh look, another mod....

There are A LOT of dealers that refuse to sell to out of state customers, and even more that force you to use their financing. Keep that in mind when shopping around. The dealer that YOU like, may refuse to sell you a truck.

Recommend you tell us what state you are in. Start localish and work out if you need to.

In general I'd suggest avoiding, or at least being very careful, working with SE or Gulf states regions.

A given dealer may be good, but the regional malarkey can be tough.

David Wilson at Crown Toyota in Lawrence, KS. I'm 90 miles away and bought two Tacomas from him, I picked up the second one last weekend. No markup, honest appraisal of the wait time, and no pressure. The Toyota line is a 6-12 month wait, David said more like 4-6 months. Mine was just about 5 months. Did it all online and then via phone and texts, and only saw him to sign the papers and drive off. I had Katzkin heated leather seats installed in the new truck, that cost was more than David had told me it would be but the dealer ate the price difference. My local dealer sucks and the dealer in Topeka is doing a $5k markup.

Mountain States Toyota in Denver. I know three people including myself that have bought trucks from them in the past two years. We are all reasonably satisfied with the experience. They are advertising some availability if you want a double cab(!), though prices are sure up.

I got my 2021 TRD Sport from Andrew Toyota in Glendale WI for MSRP back in August. Heiser Toyota in Milwaukee is also adverting that they don't charge over MSRP.

Problem with Mountain states is they are requiring a non-refundable deposit - although they are "selling" for MSRP. May be fine if you are looking for an easier model but I'm looking for an ACAB MT 4x4 and not about to lay down non refundable money in perpetuity

I could be wrong but I think the M/T is only available on DCSB. At least that was the case almost two years ago when I bought my ‘20.

I haven't done business with either of my recommendations which is exactly why I recommend them.

These guys were stand-up and took the time to help me with zero chance of earning my business due to not having the exact truck I wanted in stock (or in the pipeline.)

Both of these guys went above and beyond and helped me ultimately get the truck I wanted.

    Marco at Central Florida Toyota

    Jeff at Koons Arlington Toyota

In February of last year I did put down a deposit to secure a vehicle that was built in April and finally arrived in June. The wait was long (tho not by current standards) but there was never any question that the vehicle was coming and my name was on it. Not sure it was an "easy" vehicle - there don't seem to be that many access cabs around right now, and there weren't many then. I am glad every day that I jumped when I did. Good luck.

Same region. I'm in Kalispell, MT and they were pretty good. Gotta go in with a plan though! Still a dealer ;)
