The Depot lights are nice, good fit but I would recommend sealing around the lens before install. The Spyder lights are junk, bad fitment leak bad and the brackets are cheap as they get. I bought the Spyders, look great but just didn't seat in opening correctly and the mounting tabs were weak. Maybe they improved them but it's a risk. The Depots I run now have been great, I did seal them first and fitment was like OEM.

I have gone through 4 sets of headlights and 3 grills due to deer. I bought an extra set of the Depot lights just in case another deer desides to remodel my front end again.

Are there any other brands that you would recommend that are better than what I posted?

Take a look at Toyota's OEM smoked TRD headlights that were available on the late model sports, a little more pricey.

    OEM 2005-2011 smoked headlights:
These are available loaded with bulbs, and unloaded w/o bulbs, saving $60 off the set . These part numbers are for the unloaded housings.
    Right #81130-04173 http://stores.revolutionparts.com/toyotaparts.bochtoyotasouth.com/oe-toyota/8113004173
    Left #81170-04173 http://stores.revolutionparts.com/toyotaparts.bochtoyotasouth.com/oe-toyota/8117004173

EDIT!!! These part numbers are for the pre-TSB lights! See my post further down for the updated post-TSB fixed versions.

My headlights came in but I am having trouble getting them installed. Those little plastic clips have become brittle and break when I try to take them out or put them back in. In addition, there is a screw that I have to access from under the front tires that is causing problems. From a you tube I saw I have to take out the plastic liner in the roof of the wheel well to get to it. However, there are some plastic parts that extend out and I am afraid I am going to break them off.
Does anyone have any suggestions? The only video I can find is this one.

    PLEASE HELP WITH SOME GUIDANCE

I got it done and yes, I went through the wheel well to get to that one screw. Complete pain but I got it done. Thanks for all the advice.

Depo or TYC are fantastic factory replacements. OE fit and durability.

So I’m looking for the black headlights , I have a ‘07 TRD OFF ROAD. I don’t have daytime running lights on my truck , which year doesn’t have the daytime running lights but has the black “inlays” I guess you call them ? Just the ‘09 ? Or which year?

Good thing you posted! Those previous part numbers I listed were incorrectly the pre-TSB models with the DRL melting issue, I’d suggest the post TSB lights with the fix, even though you don’t have the DRL function. The DRLs is just a feature on the truck to have the forward running lights run independently. The headlight assemblies are the same regardless of whether or not your truck has the DRL option. Search by part number for the lights, I’ve listed the parts below with the best pricing I’ve found.

    OEM 2005-2011 smoked headlights:
These are like the Pro lights, but came on select Sport models. These are the updated TSB version of the lights that do not have the melting DRL issue. TSB is available here.

Those part numbers fit 05-11. The DRL is a function of your in-cab switch, not the headlight assembly.

But the assembly has the spots for DTR ? My truck doesn’t have the DTR stock , so there will be extra holes in the light assemblies ?

The DLR is the dual filament turn signal bulb. There is one bulb that is both the DLR and turn signal. If your truck does not have DLR the turn signal bulb does not remain constantly on.
