Went to replace my Clockspring today and when I took it off it was missing the Steering Angle sensor? I don’t even see a 3rd wire to connect it on the steering column? I’m guessing it was too expensive to replace. No codes related to it being missing. Got a squib code and airbag light after driving it for 18 months. Code is related to the Clockspring. B1811

what am I missing here? No 3rd wire even if the steering angle sensor was present.

    2007 Tacoma Prerunner.

I’m guessing this is the steering angle sensor connector. On the right. It was tucked away behind the other wires,

I just installed it without the sensor. Been driving it this way for almost 2 years.

07 wouldn't have a steering angle sensor unless it was one of the more rare early 2nd gens that came with VSC.

    VSC wasn't standard until 09.

My '06 also does not have VSC and has no steering angle sensor. Should be totally fine

Going through the same issue. How do you know if you are suppose to have one or not?

You would have the Traction Control Off switch if it had VSC.
