Looking to replace my burned 2nd gen stock halogen headlights. I believe you get what you pay for so I want to do this once. Something reliable and long lasting.

Thoughts on Brock brand OEM halogen headlights for the Tacoma on Partsgeek.com?

They are less expensive compared to LEDs but not sure I’m comparing apples to apples for basic OEM headlights. I assume the black vs chrome is a cosmetic preference vs. one lasting longer that the other?

Best to go with OEM straight from Toyota. Smoked vs Chrome is just for looks.

If you do a little searching here, you'll see that true OEM headlights - not aftermarket headlights marketed as being "OEM quality" - are the only real choice if you're concerned about things like light output, resistance to moisture intrusion, UV resistance, etc. Many, many folks have been burned by aftermarket headlights. Don't add yourself to that list.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Did you try to polishing the ones you have? I mean there already messed up. Nothing to loose. I’ll stick to my oem’s for as long as possible and then when they’re done I’ll only consider oem. I low key laugh a little when I see expensive ass lights with condensation. Cheers

Go with OEM replaced mine about 3 years ago still looks good today. I also try and spray some kind of uv blocker on them to keep them looking good 39827BC4-628E-42E2-A453-D390F36C1169.jpg

This is the second Tacoma I’ve used Meguiar’s PlastX and clear headlight lense coat (Scotty Kilmer - YouTube). I just don’t like the burned (one cracked) DRLs. OEM replacements from different local Toyota dealers run $225/per halogen light.
