Just about going over 10k on my 2019 TRD Pro and getting an itch for a decent size mod. A real metal front bumper was one of the first things on my list but in researching the options, I was reminded of how little I know about accessories like this on modern vehicles affixed with all this plastic and tech. Some of the ones I like have a hoop or tube that isn't guaranteed to work with TSS and some won't use the factory fogs. I don't necessarily want to mount a winch but a light bar would be nice. Has anyone come across such an animal or point me the right direction?

The TSS radar is on the grille, behind the plastic "window" below the T-O-Y-O-T-A emblem. As long as the bumper doesn't have a hoop or bar in front of the window, TSS function won't be affected.

Cool. I figured as much for the TSS but has anyone found one that uses the factory fogs? How about installation? Does the plastic “bumper” come off? The pics I’ve seen show several inches of plastic between the bottom of the headlights and aftermarket bumpers and the oem doesn’t separate that way7B9C5B05-DC3B-4252-9E64-4CF368B2CEED.jpg

They expect you to cut the plastic bumper leaving just the pieces below the headlights:

If you plan to go back to stock in the future, you can buy an aftermarket bumper cover for $100 and cut that instead: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=7282064&cc=3441741&jsn=416

Personally I think CBI makes the best looking bumper followed by BAMF and Relentless fab. The CBI is the sleekest and looks amazing.

@Mobtown Offroad puts out really great products. Quality, engineered construction and excellent powder coating. Their shipping is free too.

I had their armor on my last Tacoma and I'm waiting for their Overland sliders for my Pro. They have a lot of happy customers/fans and there's a reason for it.

Most armor companies make great stuff for our Taco but if I have to pick. I would go with either Demello Off-Road or CBI.

I'm looking for the same setup for my '19 TRD Pro. There are lots of cool bumpers in this thread but it looks like most of them will interfere with the sonar. Is there a resource that would show which ones work and which won't or should I just contact the manufacturers? Also, I don't really use that sonar anyway, can I just disable it and forget about whether something is going to get in the way?

Thanks. Wanting to try and find covers to dim my fog lights or have them be more of a running light. Thinking about grill replacement.

Getting some new shoes soon. Falken atw3 275/65/18 OEM wheels.

I think that is the first time I have ever heard anyone say "want to dim" in reference to lights. o_O

Maybe since fogs are more efficient in the amber spectrum you could use acrylic with some amber film on the inside of it. I would do a clean but loose fit so they don't have an opportunity to dry out easier after being wet.

Do you offroad at all? Those 18" wheels are going to force the tires to be more on the lower profile side of things. That will limit your ability to air down as needed on trails. They will look great though.

Thanks for the insight on fogs, they are Brite Ass Hell and perfect when you're in BFE Kentucky.

I do off road and actually impressed with the crappy Good Years during my last adventure. I'll get 7" sidewall and for me getting around the farm "on the cheap" out weights the want of climbing the mountain.

If you want a full plate bumper the Demello is the absolute cream of the crop in both form and function (in my opinion). The Baja (mid) hoop works with the Pro Grille TSS flawlessly. You can also get it in aluminum. If you want a hybrid the C4 is very popular but my favorite is the Lil B’s (also known as Runnin 4 Tacos).
