Those of you who have installed Icon RXT leaf springs have noticed that the location the brake clamp/spacer/whatever it’s called that was attached to on one of the stock leaf springs forward brackets does not exist on the RXTs.

What have you come up with as an alternate? Everything I’ve found at the hardware store doesn’t have enough material to support the thickness of the Icon bracket bolts. If anyone found something on Amazon that works please post it up. Thanks!

64FD0279-8858-48EE-A062-D7EF86F6B873.jpg I literally just did this yesterday. I took a drill bit and opened up the hole on the brake bracket and then attached it to the front RXT leaf pack bolt. I’ll take a picture when I get back home today and post it. Took me like 10 min and works great! The passenger side was easier but the driver side, I had to take the leaf pack screw out and make this brake bracket hole a little larger to fit. Pictures soon
Hers is the passenger side. I just used bolt and nut highlighted

This. Easy enough to do and there is more than enough free thread on the brackets to do this. Beats cutting them off like I've seen others do.

This also worked for my new Deavers.

After wallowing out the hole, I just used channel locks to persuade the bracket to be where I wanted it.

Yes boring out the hole with a step bit is the easiest way. Then bend the bracket down once attached so there is more play.

I use these and it works great. Only need to open up 1 or 2 steps.

This is awesome, thanks everyone! This was my first thought, but I think there was an issue with orientation, or perhaps the bracket was putting a stretch on the brake line. I must not have looked closely enough. Will check it out when I get home and make this happen.

I bend them down before removing from stock leaf. That makes install easy. If you removed it already, you can jack up the rear axle to give you more slack. Bolt it down, then bend the bracket down.

You can bend the bracket really easily to fit what you need after install. I made sure that the bracket sleeve aligned so as not to rub the brake line

There was a guy on here who used to make a part for this. Not anymore.

so for mine I took a stock holder, widened the hole, and moved it to attach to one of the leaf clips. Haven’t had any problems so far. But also haven’t been watching it. Just kind of set it and forget it

I assume I can just eyeball it and bend it as I like it with a pair of pliers before install.

It's pretty hard to work with when dangling. Once bolted down, I use a hammer to tap it into the position that I like.

Unfortunately my brake line does not have enough slack for the guide or clamp or whatever it is to be positioned in the way you all have it. Maybe it’s a 2nd gen thing. I will just have to find something at the hardware store.

If I could flip the guide upside down it would work, not possible unfortunately.

Is this for ICON RXT or a different brand leafpack? Pictures might help us help you
