Replaced rotors and brake pads. Truck still shaking while breaking at highspeed

I recently was experiencing my vehicle shake while I applied the brakes at high speeds, so I replaced both brake pads and rotors OEM from dealership. After about a month they were still shaking so I rotated rotors. Again after another month or so the vehicle is still shaking while breaking at high speeds. NOTE: Suspension hasn't been modified.

Any ideas or thoughts what this could be?? Dealership wants to charge $200 for an "estimate."

 

Could be something as simple as under torqued bolts somewhere on the suspension to bad ball joints, ujoints or bushings.
Could be a lot of things.

Went to a mechanic to do the work, uncertain with what they did. The truck and steering wheel rumble as I slowdown.

 

It sounds like you have problems other than the brakes. Did this start after your suspension work? I’d start there.

Mechanics will almost never bed brakes for a customer. They may tell the customer how to, or give them a written set of instructions

So, while bedding is important, at this point your problem sounds like something other than brakes. Just because it happens when slowing doesn't automatically make it brake related.

Any burned brake smell after driving?
I had similar experience with my van. Shaking steering wheel, shaking car. Strong hot brake smel after. Ended up being a bad brake caliper.

 

Check tie rod ends. worn ones sometimes cause shaking.

 

OEM brakes generally not good and shake.

Did the new rotors actually get installed?

 

I had the same problem, turns out the drums were bad. Dealership replaced them problem solved for me...

 

I can experience this in the mountains on a long downhill into a corner. I adjusted my driving to reduce it. Slowing down and engine braking. I believe it is mild gassing of the pads or commonly known as brake fade.

I am also upgrading to 4Runner front brakes with slotted rotors to help with heat capacity in the rotors and degassing.
