[EDIT: After some quick responses and help here I found out the battery had nothing to do with the issues. I blew the ECU-IG NO.2 fuse after hooking up the black wire from anytime camera mod to ground. Fixed my error, replaced fuse and everything is normal. Thanks for all the help.]

Could use a little help here, can’t make any sense of it myself.

    MY19 Tacoma
-Replaced battery today (with a AGM, there was nothing wrong with OEM battery).

After hooking back up, my power windows don’t work and the following warnings show up:

    TPMS
    Check charging system
    Forward collision warning
    Lane departure warning

    I disconnected and reconnected.
    Terminals are tight.
Started truck and it runs fine. Idled then drove for about 5 min.
Power door locks, power mirrors etc work fine.
    Window lock is not on.

    Any clue?

I had the battery disconnected for a while as I had the headunit out doing the anytime camera & front camera mod.

Reversed everything I did for the camera mod and windows still don’t work.
Are the windows connected to the headunit for some reason?

    Thanks for the help

    Did you check fuses?

Yes, checked each 20A door fuse in driver footwell fuse box. All good.

sounds like a BCM issue, did anything accidentally get shorted while installing the camera?

No reason anything would have, battery was disconnected and everything went smoothly. Everything was put back together before the battery was re-connected. Disconnected battery before any troubleshooting.

@gofast the TITLE is misleading. The battery swap did not have anything to do with what you have. It’s the camera mod you did. The problem might have been triggered when you did the anytime camera and front camera mod. It might have shorted when you turned on the power. Check ALL the fuses .

Do you know of any sort of relearning the computer has to do after having the battery disconnected for so long? Maybe the safety sense system has to be reset/recalibrated? Still not sure why that would affect the windows.

After reading multiple posts regarding this electrical gremlin here, I think it’s the canbus system . The experts here might chime in.

It’s possible the Canbus could be backed up and not communicating properly but should be able to clear that by disconnecting the battery and letting it reset

Thanks, Bulalo and apologies for the misleading title. I thought for sure it was a funky relearning/resetting process I didn’t know about due to the battery. Searching electrical issues with the anytime mod I see similar problems and agree it’s likely due to that.

Thanks for all the help, searching for electrical issues related to the anytime mod I came across this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/electrical-gremlins.547204/

And of course without reading through all the directions I did the same thing and connected the black wire to ground.
It blew the ECU-IG NO.2 fuse which caused the issues described in original post.

@gofast did the windows work prior to the battery install?

Try resetting the auto window one touch feature. Pretty much hold down the button till the windows open (and keep holding for a few seconds). Then hold the button to close the windows until they shut (and continue holding a few seconds).

Thanks, Omar. I thought this might have been the issue originally but ended up being something I screwed up doing the anytime camera mod.

@gofast ~ The black wire that is NOT supposed to be grounded... which ground are you referring to? The one nearest the radio head or the one under the hood? Thank you for your added EDIT above. It helped me solve the same issues I was having with the power windows and PCS/LDA alerts... :)

Also, did you attach the red camera wire under the hood to an Add-a-fuse to put in the fuse box? This was a step in a TacoTwonz's video for 3rd gens (excluding 2020+)

    Thanks in advance!
