I see that Bosch makes some, what *seem* like, very precision oxygen sensors (i.e., "Premium", "Wideband", etc. - http://www.boschautoparts.com/OxygenSensors/Pages/OxygenSensors.aspx). Reading their verbiage, one *might* think that they're higher quality than OEM stuff so therefore maybe the trick might run a tiny bit better, experience a tine difference in performance, etc., etc.???

I encountered http://www.oxygensensorworld.com/se...model=Tacoma&year=2004&submodel=Base&engine=4 Cyl.2.4L which offers a plethora of brands so I called and asked their opinion and they said, for a Toyota, stick with either the Denso (OEM brand) or Bosch - either is a good brand. They said don't expect to notice any performance difference with one or the other.

Most Toyota's I've had did not run correctly with Bosch brand parts. So now I only use Toyota Brand, Denso or NGK. Have not had one fail on my yet but everyone has a different opinion.

I tried the Bosch and It didnt last. I have learned to quit cutting corners and just buy OEM because in the long run you just end up spending the same amount replacing the non OEM parts several times over.

X2, Toyota seems to enjoy Toyota designed parts. Either NGK or Denso, anything else seems to fail or the truck runs crappy.

I highly advise you to stick to OEM. Things like that need to be OEM with these trucks. I had to learn that the hard way.

Yes unfortunately only OEM works best. Sometimes even good working OEM junk yard parts like starters and alternators work better than parts store (junk) parts.
