I'm pretty open on weekends. On call once a month but I can usually trade. The 14th of next month works for me. And the wheeling i was talking about is nothing serious, stock rigs would be more than fine on everything. Snow drifts might hamper that but there's ways around. But I'm down for whenever.

Hey all, I'm in the market for a whole rear axle or just the 3rd (8" 4.10) I'd love to buy one with an E-locker but if it's a straight swap, I'll take what I can get. If you or anyone you know is holding onto one let me know!

Im down for any weekend. I was kind of thinking of waiting until it gets warmer? I have a week off in may, july and sept. Im sure i can get time off if i have enough notice. All i know is that my truck hasnt seen enough dirt and needs to see more.

Thank you Matt the less we spend on food the more we have for vet bills. We've had a couple of expensive dogs recently.

Its amazing how long that bill has been in the works. I went to the meetings years ago when I still lived in Elko. Total garbage but theyre gonna do as they please.

IMO, yes. Wouldn't have dropped $50k+ on it if I didn't think so.
As i see it.... if you want a rig with new tech, convenience, etc. but off-road chops too this is it. Walks over obstacles I've failed at getting a Tacoma thats locked, long travel, and 35s over.

    JT Pros...
*Eats 37's. Literally, I ran these stock until the lift came in with no mods. And I could fit 40's with minor mods, although the axles probably wouldn't like me for it.
*handles the 37s with stock gearing. Seriously, it drives absolutely fine in my daily driving, including some towing. The 8 speed aisin along with the 4.10's stock is the real deal. Could it benefit from 4.56/4.88's, sure. But not enough to drop the $$ yet. Tazer JL Mini lets me calibrate speedo/trans(and tons of other things) for only $250 so theres that too.
    * gets better gas mileage on 37s than a 3rd gen Taco on 33's. No clue how a brick on big MTs is getting what it is, but it is. (I'm averaging between 15-16mpg on every tank in my day to day in-town driving)
    * soooo much more thought out in just about every way over the 3rd gen Taco. The little things add up IMO. A true enthusiast vehicle.
*even on 3" lift and 37s, jeep will warranty it.
*more interior room, more comfortable seating position, better infotainment system. Many options to get one just the way you want, with only the options you want.
*front and rear lockers, sway bar disconnect, factory linked suspension. *no axle wrap, bind, etc
*UNIQUE. Removable top, removable doors, etc.
    *diesel option coming soon!

The cost to SAS a Tacoma far exceeds the cost difference in buying the Gladiator, plus the Jeep aftermarket is huge... So many options. Even if I wanted 1-ton axles.... buy em and BOLT them in. Ready for 40's+.

Downsides.... Potential long term reliability? We'll see, so far mine has been flawless.
Upfront cost is quite a bit more, but if you care about the things it offers I think the cost is justified.
Doesn't drive as good on the highway(tradeoff for Straight axle front, but our ZR2 drives WAAAAY better than a lifted 3rd gen Taco). I didn't buy it for long highway drives though so IDC.

But hey, these are my opinions and not everyone may agree, and thats fine.
Buy and enjoy whatever rig you want. The Gladiator has thus far proven to be my favorite vehicle I've owned in over 10 years so thats all that matters to me. :)
