Tonight is Drainplug's last night in town.
He's been stalking our thread for ages. Let's get a good look at him so we can pick him out of a police line up
    So who's all going?
    When?
    Where?

Lots of new Taco goodies arriving soon.
    2 x 100W solar panels https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071JQQL84/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    80L Dobinsons Dual fridge/freezer (55L/25L compartments controlled separately) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LY5YG9F/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
32" monitor to hook up to the laptop (possibly mounted to roof of shell) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L3KNOF4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    Bose Solo 5 soundbar https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AWLPUAG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
All the solar stuff arrives tomorrow, monitor Monday, fridge 15-17 May (backorder)

I went with the Dobinsons for several reasons.
    Great reviews https://www.bestrefrigeratorcentral.com/auto-refrigerator-newest-rugged-12v-portable-fridge-freezer/
Danfoss compressor (ARB stopped using them)
Dual zones means 25L & 55L can both be fridge, or freezer, or one of each.
    Smaller footprint (for 2qt larger)
    Costs less

Doing a 8K - 10K trip later this year as kind of a test run for some future overland trips.

FYI Don't believe your tape measure!
If you downsize tires 33" to 31" (& 60lbs lighter) (not doing all that driving ^ on 33"s with a 4Banger) your tape will tell you you lost 1" of ground clearance & 1" of overall height.
    This is NOT true!
From any angle you look at your truck it's 2"-3" shorter

I don't think so. Wrong direction. I got back from Reno around 3:15-3:30

I could meet at Great Basin in Reno at 4:30 but would have to be out of there by 5:45 or I could meet at Craft on Martin St around 5:15 and could hand out longer. The downside to Craft is parking can be a pain but its a cool little spot that has a solid selection (its a beer/wine/spirit shop that you can drink at).

The added weight would be the equivalent of cutting my body into several unequal pieces and putting them in different places in the back of my truck

My experience with them has been hit or miss, but majority miss.

Trying to buy a truck= insulting
    1st & 2nd service= nightmare
CPS issue= worthless, had to replace it myself
    3rd & 4th service= decent

Only negative experiences at Dolan for me have been with the service department. I requested a transmission service and the service writer didn't think I needed one and he said wouldn't perform an alignment since the truck had aftermarket UCAs.

I purchased my truck there and they performed the oil changes for the first couple years but they cancelled a service program that I prepaid for and wouldn't refund the fee. I don't get my truck serviced there anymore.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Though I hate Les Schwab the one in Sparks off of Los Altos has a nice machine and a tech that pretty much does nothing but alignments. I can't remember his name but he is in his 40's. Good dude and know's what he is doing and is used to dealing with lifts and aftermarket UCA's. I will let you know when I recall his name.
