Removing Toyota emblem from center caps

    I was wondering if anyone has removed and reinstalled the Toyota emblem on the center caps from a set of 17 Offroad wheels? I’m thinking about doing the wheels in Black including center cap but I want to paint the center cap emblem red.

    On the 2nd gen center caps, I got the emblems off by melting the plastic tabs on the back with a soldering iron. Then they fall right off, then to put them back, just melt the tabs back down or glue the emblem instead.
