Removing sunglass holder from overhead console?

    Can anyone provide a diagram/instructions for removing the actual sunglasses holder (the bit that flips down) from the overhead console? I don't have access to me my manual ATM.

    I don’t think it would be in the manual. I assume you want to keep the overhead console, but remove just the sunglass part? I can get you some pictures later, but basically there is a small gear on one side that pops out, then you just pry the console opening wider and pull the holder out. You can see the teeth that the gear rides against on the left here.

    This is interesting. I never use the darn thing and always wondered if it could be repurposed. What would one do with it if you remove the OEM sunglass holder?

    I meant the FSM; you're right, definitely not in the user manual. Thanks; I will look at that this evening. I want to remove it as I'm getting rid of that truck tomorrow and I have a decal on that I want to keep, so my plan is to swap it with the one in my new '22.
