    Gents-

Through brute force I got the rear pair of hanger bolts removed from the shackles of my 2003 Tacoma. I then got the front passenger side hanger bolt out with some hammering. Now, I have the driver side front hanger bolt seemingly welded into the factory leaf bushing and it wont turn and I have no room to hammer on it because the fuel tank is 3" away and I can pry or hammer it.

Anybody got any thoughts? I'm soaking it in KROIL and hope to make progress tonight.

Thanks to any and all who can offer advice.

    p.s. I have no compressor/impact tools.

    4 run, 2 don't
    Breaker bar?

I let penetrating oils do their job for 24 hours before attempting to tackle it myself.

I'll be tackling this sometime in the future as I have to replace my entire suspension on my 1st gen.

This seems to be the universal pain for Toyota pickups. I have had the same issue. I cut the bolt on each side of the spring bushing. The bushing and bolt are getting tossed anyway.

I have used a pry bar on the tip of the bolt putting pressure on the bolt and used an impact to back it out. Once it is a good bit out, I shift the pry bar on the lip under the bolt head and follow the same process.

Presuming that you are on jackstands, make sure that there is no pressure on the axle or leaf packs.

All of the above should work to remove the bolt.

    Good luck.

Thanks all, I'm going to use a hack-saw and cut the bastard out on both sides tonight. This was nasty.

p.s. geekhouse23 your profile pic is hilarious and terrifying all at once, well-played sir!
