Removing A Pillar Trim...??

I'm getting prepared to install a Gentex (from Bob's Auto Mirrors) mirror in our 2015 TRD Sport AC and wanted to know what the trick is to remove the A pillar trim to run the sensor wire from the headliner to the bottom of the dash. I have a fear of snapping anything plastic, especially in cool to cold weather.....

 

You have to pop out the two plastic covers on the grab handle, and there are two bolts under there (10mm I believe), take those out, and then you should be able to pull the A pillar trim off.

Exactly as Fitz said, pop out the 2 plastic bolt covers on the grab handle- they are a 10mm hex, or you can use a #2 Phillips if desired. Unbolt it, and pull up slightly towards the headliner to clear the dash, then it pops right off. Easy squeezy lemon peasy, should take no longer than 2min! I've taken mine off multiple times between remote start. bluetooth mic, and gauge pod/gauge swaps at this point. It's like second nature lmao.

 

Thanks! It literally took less than 2 minutes. Very easy and it's removal made running the sensor wires for the Gentex mirror very easy.......

Love the mirror!! Zero vibration as it mounts really solid. It's an easy install and well worth doing.....

The pillar is a Lotek pod for the 05-11 Tacomas (even though I have a 2013- it fits without issue)

The turbo setup is a GT2871r on 6psi for the time being.

Stock injectors (289cc)/pump until spring time, then I'll be upping them to run E85.
Tuning is handled by an AEM FIC-6, which bypasses the MAF sensor and uses an onboard MAP sensor (more reliable and handles more boost)

The manifold & downpipe I purchased from an overseas supplier. Everything else was bought individually. OZBoost makes a kit, but it's absolute garbage so I just sourced the manifold from their supplier.
