Remote control door opener mod.

Hello. I have a base model 2019 Taco SR. It didn’t come with a remote door opener. It only has a key to unlock the truck. Is there a mod to install a remote doer opener. Thank you for your help

Door opener

 

There are a ton of smart wi-fi garage door openers. They wire to your current garage door and connect to your wi-fi. You can use an app on your phone to open the door or get one that is Google/Siri/Alexa compatible and you can do it with voice commands.

With my android auto head-unit, I can open/close my garage door hands-free and there is no remote in my truck to worry about someone getting access to.

 

While he obviously didn't ace freshman English, I believe the OP is referring to his vehicle, rather than home.

 

LOL Well, maybe my reading comprehension added to the problem. I just assumed a the subsequent posts and pics were guys just messing with him. I mean, it does happen here from time to time.

 

You can always solder your garage door opener to a button. Most Tacoma's in multiple trims did not come with one. Not sure if the newer models have one in the rear view mirror, or if the ones I saw were upgraded after?
