I’ve done a bit of digging but haven’t seen any definitive examples, can someone who set up a remote air chuck in the front of the truck share how they did it?

I have an ARB dual compressor that I’m planning to mount in on the passenger side under the hood and want to be lazy and not have to open the hood to air up tires. The switch will be in the cab.

Looking around the front of the truck I don’t see a clear spot that I can mount a chuck to be able to attach a hose. I have a stock front bumper.

Get some hose, fittings, nylon tape and possibly some pipe dope and route that bad boy to where you want it. It’s easy, just make sure all your connections are tight. I ended up needed to re-torque the hose clamp at my 90 degree fitting off the compressor after running the engine for awhile.

Mine are not in the front, but this it might give you some ideas. With the remote chuck and tubing you really could put it anywhere. My thoughts on the location were that I wanted a chuck on each side, as centered on the truck as possible.

I buy almost all my ARB parts and pieces from Nothridget4x4 great selection.

This is awesome. How did you end up mounting the chuck to the front end?

I had bought a compressor mount from R4T to place it behind the grill but found out I was missing some parts during the install. Long story short, instead of returning it, I left it in place and mounted the chuck to it. I just zip tied the hose to the mount as close to the chuck as possible to make it sturdy.

Here’s what I did with mine. I didn’t want to have to open the hood each time I needed air so I ran a chuck to both the front and rear of the truck. My choice of location might not work for those that like to bury their truck in the mud but they’re somewhat protected from splashes and spray. Two years later they’re still working great.

The brackets I made were pretty simple, using just a drill, a grinder and some files this is what I came up with.

Two suggestions from me… first one is to use DOT approved airbrake tubing. It has better kink, heat and abrasion resistance over the cheap stuff. The upgrade cost is only a few extra cents per foot. The fittings are your choice, just make sure they work with your airline.

The second one I have is to use a braided stainless steel lead hose. This is because compressing air makes it hot and it can burst the plastic airline (more likely if you use the cheap stuff). I think the one I got is a Viair brand with a check valve in it, purchased from Amazon.

Looks like the front would be difficult to access, how does it work out in reality?

It’s easy enough that I’m able do it with one hand, but there’s not a lot of room to work with. I could’ve cut the plastic to make more room but I didn’t want to cut or drill into my truck.

The engine bay air isn't too warm for the compressor without opening the hood?

Put mine in the plastic in case I didn’t like it. It hasn’t moved since, been 2 years?

    Nah.
It’s not like I run tools for mine, but by the time I’m done airing up my 35s, I’m ready for the road, and that means airflow.
Been about 2 years since my install and no complaints or issues here.
Mine is installed by the power steering reservoir tho, not blocking the radiator like some other mounts. I also run a single
