Get a JDM motor for 1600 bucks. Swap a couple things and live happily ever after

Who was the company it was purchased from? Did they do the install as well? Be good to warn others that might be looking into buying from them.

    :sorry: here are some reviews.
I would rebuild the old engine and, I think that remained one is just a paperweight now.

How was the motor advertised? Was there a warranty? What are the stipulations of the warranty? I would start collecting evidence now and even record phone calls(if allowed in your state) and then file a case in small claims. Sounds like you have a slam dunk case if all of my assumptions are right.

Holy hell, literally every review is about being scammed. That company is criminal, how on earth are they still operating.

Sorry for your run of bad luck. If you are going to have one of them rebuilt, I'd go with the original, since you said you know it's history.

I am adding some info not to rub salt in your wound, but just to make sure if anyone searches this or other forums, they can easily find out about this company. You may want to add their name to the title of your thread, since the search feature on TW has a title only search feature.

BTW, one of the posts said Wisconsin is where Usedremans is headquartered, and so people should contact the BBB there to file complaints.

    Again, for search hits:
    used.remans.com
    usedremans.com
    usedremans
    used remans

I'd venture to bet the 1 positive review is from someone in on the operation

Seems like they are just taking old busted motors out of junkyard trucks and selling them as remanufactured?

I know, I saw that in your other post, I'm just joking around. It's totally understandable, and I'm glad your friend is okay.

I keep telling folks reman motors are a huge gamble. Seen many a reman motor fail shortly after.

Get a lower mileage used motor. No one builds a motor better than the factory.

    This.

If they have a written warranty, they sure as shit better honor that warranty.

I would definitely send them a "pay up or speak to my lawyer" letter.

Holy shit. I don't think I've ever seen that many 1 star reviews. And the one 5 star they got was someone who clearly didn't understand how the star rating works....thinking the more stars the worse the score

The warranty was listed for 5 years 50000 miles and when I called to get information on purchase they were very assuring that they stood by there warranty which is heartbreaking because now when I need it there could give a crap. Moving forward going to rebuild the original and try to get a refund or go threw the bbb and at least get some money.

5 stars means they're the BEST at sucking.

They probably did that to get more people to click on that review.

    Savage, lol
