I did a search on this issue and found nothing in the Gen 3 forum - just Gen 2 without a reported solution.

I got in my truck today and for the second time ever I heard a repeating click near the left side of the steering wheel and the dash lights blinked in unison. This happened whether or not the truck was turned on or not. I had seen this happen once before a long time ago but never figured out why. The clicking was not the volume or frequency as the blinker and the loudness reduced when I turned the headlights on.

I backed out of the driveway and the drove down the road and it would stop and start randomly as I was driving and was concerning as I was going on fairly long trip.

As I continued to drive on the highway it kept happening and then a light bulb lit that I had done something that I don't usually do - I put my keyfob in my pants pocket. As soon as I took the keys out it stopped and did not occur again.

So I am guessing that either the after market remote starter fob was interfering with the factory key fob or one of my keys was somehow pressing a button on the key fob.

    Kind of bizarre.
