    Hey Everyone,
I own an SR and am looking into getting fog lights. Is there a huge difference in light out put between the regular and pro fog lights? I know the pro runs Rigid, but am curious to hear from people who have done the upgrade or who decided which one to choose. Thanks in advance! It means a lot.

Rigid from the pro are crap compared to any aftermarket (including rigid), this is because they are DOT compliant and most aftermarket ones are not. As an upgrade, the Pro rigid do give a better light output over oem, but due to the price, they are not worth it over aftermarket options.
So if you are not worried about DOT, go aftermarket.

This. And there’s cheaper options that still do their job, like cali raised. They look pretty good too for bonus points.

I think they’re a nice upgrade over the stock non Pro lights ... I personally like to use OEM parts for my “customizations” whenever I can. If you can afford it, it’s a quick and easy swap if you’ve already got fog lights ... not sure what all is involved if the wiring isn’t already there.

Counter point; Get Squadrons- wire them as driving lights- enjoy.

There are plenty of aftermarket that are SAE/DOT compliant, and the off-road use only ones are normally labeled as such. Just pick appropriate one for your application.

Or hand paint your fog light lenses yellow and put quality halogen bulbs in since that light wavelength pierces water better (fog is water in the air)

I've had an OR and a Pro, and the Pro fog lights are very bright, as evidently some drivers who flash their high beams at me seem to know.

I have the same ones, guy that had the truck before me had them put on. Love the DRL “ring” of LEDs and then the main LED is super bright too. A great option!

Heard the SR does not have the wires for fog lights so you’ll have to add it, but I’m very curious whether after installing the fog lights on an SR the in-dash fog light icon annunciator light will illuminate? Which leads me to wonder if the SR has the same instrument cluster annunciators as all the other TRD models?
Some one with an SR chime in and confirm?

I replaced the OEM TRD Off Road fog lights to the TRD PRO Rigid lights..
    IMG_3464.jpg
If you still have the OEM halogen light bulbs, In my opinion, yes these are a litter better than the OEM fog lights... The color out put is different, the throw is a bit narrower.. But these are expensive, and the gain, in my opinion is not a lot.. probably better off getting some after market replacement for lights..

That’s my curiosity. Today I installed a pro grille, during the swap I found a plug connector, attached to my front bumper(bash bar, not sure of technical name) and it wasn’t attached to anything before I dissembled anything on the vehicle, so what would even plug into there? The TSS is attached to a different plug. But the Toyota Parts guy said Toyota doesn’t even offer fogs as an option or accessory on the SR.

I have no fog lights so anything would be an upgrade. They are very pricey and that’s why I was searching around to see what’s everyone thought when they “upgraded”.
