Here's the new money pit I've aquired, I'd been looking for s-runners, but they're rare and expensive, so essentially I'm going to make my own single cab version and use the extra money for go fast parts lol. I have an understanding of how I'm going to go about this but anyone with additional information that I may not be aware feel free to chime in, so let's start with what I think I know.
    received_666450787117864.jpg
The trucks a 2.4 so motor mounts need to be moved 3/4" back, to my understanding that's the only modification for fitting the motor.
The ecu and complete harness is out of the same truck the motors coming out of so it's good there, besides I'll be manual swapping to a r150 from the a340 that the ecu supports, there's some modification to the wiring that'll need to be done and I feel like I understand that.
The 2.4 is already paired to a manual so no need to worry about clutch components.
Now to my understanding that's all for the motor and trans swap, besides 3.4 motor mounts and r150 trans mount

    Now to the fun parts
I'm going to build the motor, but only what is necessary, I know it's not required but it'll give me piece of mind and hopefully the ability for some extra ponies.
Build parts will be valve train, 3vz-fe forged crank, upgraded pistons, head studs, and cams if I can find anything aftermarket or info on maybe other toyota cams that fit.
As far as the turbo goes, I'll be doing the cx racing kit, just need to talk to one of the other turbo guys to see what parts of the kit I'll need, aftermarket bov, wastegate, turbo, intercooler, oil cooler, fuel pump, injectors, and aem fic 6. I could be missing some stuff but that's the basic plan.

Sounds good! 3vzfe cams are confirmed to fit in the heads by @Empty_Lord I believe.

Right on, was hoping there were some out there, more agressive, forged? What's different about them?

Well basically the 3vzfe revs higher and makes power at a higher rpm range, so the general belief is that the cams have to have more lift and duration to facilitate that. I had found the specs at one point, I think they are in my build somewhere but idk where they are now.

They physically fit.. havnt seen if they run in the trucks though.. i dont see why they wouldnt. you will need a tune thought. and to utilize the power youll need the 3VZ-fe Crank too. the 5vz crank will shatter at 7k rpm

I'm going with the 3vz fe crank also, piggyback will do? Or have to go standalone?

That I can’t comment on. I still have a frame to assemble. Quite a bit away from having her up and running.
I have a test mule engine. But it won’t be going till the body is off the old frame

I’ll keep people posted on the 3vz cam stuff as it happens. Uncharted territory needs to be charted

Agreed, I'm trying to push the limits of this motor

Judging by the design of the block. The fact it seems to be a high nickel content block leads me to believe 1000hp out of a 3.4 shouldn’t be much harder than a 2jz. Except of course the insane cost of parts for it

Ah, if it's anything like the 2jz just need the weak points like valves, crank, and cam and the rest should be plenty tough until pistons start having issues.

The rods are weak. Block itself is stout. Heads appear to be too. Head stud design and diameter seems like it will handle head lift

[IMG] These rods with the 3vz crank and some forged pistons should handle a lot of abuse
