Red Katzkin Leather - Am I crazy?

Ever since I saw the movie "Better Off Dead" for the first time as a boy in my early teens, I've loved the 1967 Camaro John Cusack fixes up in it. Specifically, the red interior. Ever since then, I've wanted to own a vehicle with red interior. It obviously takes a certain type of car and color combination to pull it off without being tacky, so I've never tried it. Now, I find myself considering installing Cardinal Red Katzkin leather in my new Tacoma. I know it won't clash with the White, but still, it's a bold statement to make. I know these trucks aren't muscle cars, but still........

What do you all think? I'm not necessarily looking for an influence to my decision, just gauging my Off-The-Rocker meter.

Red leather

 

The difference in the old school vehicles wearing red was the dash was a shade of red, the door panels, everything played off the red of the upholstery.

If you're talking about just doing seats? I personally think the result is gonna look like you drove to Tijuana and bought some seats at a side of the road tuck and roll shop.

Save some money if you go for it and get some Clazzios for $650. Just installed a set in my Taco yesterday.

 

I had a 2013 Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary edition. White with red leather. Got compliments on it all the time. Do it.

 

Red leather is for sports cars and standalone moustaches.

Start working on your Magnum PI and then go for it.

I think as long as you don't have a red exterior, you can do red interior

If my Tacoma was white, I'd install red leather too
