Thought I would add to the Alaska region with a shop recommendation thread. I'll updated this post based on folks replies.

    Anchorage:

    Shop: CCA motorsports
    Vehicle: '20 Tacoma
    Service Date: June 2021
    Service: mount and balance
Notes: Only shop I could find in Anchorage that can safely mount painted wheels. They use a soft plastic duckbill where the other shops use aluminum or steel which risks scratching the paint.

    Shop: Perfectionist Automotive
    Vehicle: '20 Tacoma
    Service Date: October 2020
    Service: Drone remote start install
Notes: Compustar Elite installer? I forget the designation but I have no complaints with their work. Clean installation with no issues.

    Shop: Alaska Spring
    Vehicle: *
    Service Date: *
    Service: Alignment
    Notes:
    Shop: Green Tree Fabrication
    Vehicle: ‘19 Tacoma
    Service date: 12/27/21
Service: Lift/front plate bumper/sliders installed, cab mount chop, wheels and tires ordered
    Notes:
    Shop: FATS Service
    Vehicle: ‘19 Tacoma
    Service date: 1/3/22
    Service: Alignment
    Notes:
    Fairbanks:

    Shop: Young's Gear and Driveline
    Vehicle: '96 T100
    Service Date: January 2014
    Service: Outer Axle Bearing replacement
Notes: Work completed on time with accurate time and cost estimate.

    Palmer:
    Shop: Jenski Automotive
    Vehicle: *
    Service Date: *
    Service: *
    Notes:

    Thanks for starting this.

Anyone have recommendations for alignment in Anchorage or Mat-Su?

Have SPC UCAs and other things that make it atypical from stock.

I think Alaska Spring has been recommended in the past but the posts are somewhat old.

    Both in Anchorage:

    Shop: Green Tree Fabrication
    Vehicle: ‘19 Tacoma
    Service date: 12/27/21
Service: Lift/front plate bumper/sliders installed, cab mount chop, wheels and tires ordered
Notes: Laid back Toyota enthusiasts, accurate estimates on cost and timeframes for both shipping and work, highly knowledgeable and experienced. They specialize in truly building Toyotas, so I absolutely trust them with my basic installs. GTF also did the lift on my ‘03 about 10 years ago. Going to them when it’s time to regear. 4.88 Nitros in stock

    Shop: FATS Service
    Vehicle: ‘19 Tacoma
    Service date: 1/3/22
    Service: Alignment
Notes: Happy with my results. Friendly staff good alignment tech. Fixed my borked camber from another shop with an inexperienced tech

    Great thread idea op!

Any place in Matsu or Anchorage that stocks Old Man Emu? Springs such as OME 2887. Alternatively anyplace that stocks bilstein 5100s? Would still need OME 2887 springs.

I’d call GTF and see what they have. Not to be a broken record, but if they don’t have them in stock they will be able to get them quickly and at a good price. Great guys.
Pretty sure they had to order both OME lifts I got from them

Unfortunately most places can order but very few have anything in stock. If I have to order I might as well order it online myself.

Fair enough. If you’re just doing shocks and springs, shipping might not be a huge issue. Businesses get better/bulk freight rates on over-sized items like leafs, that would be arm and leg territory for a joe blow like me.
Hope you’re able to find what you’re looking for!

So I'll give 4 out 5 stars to green tree fab. They had the front springs and struts in stock and the rear shocks in stock. They had no rear add a leafs and were supposed to get back to me on those (I followed up later and still no response). So 4 stars for having everything in stock, knowing exactly what i needed and assembling the front struts at no additional cost. minus 1 star as their customer service could use some work, doesn't seem they answer their phones either. It's best to just show up.

This was all for a 1st gen tundra which doesn't officially have an OME kit available. They knew what I was needing. Put a snowdogg VMXII plow on my 2000 toyota tundra, this is used for my business so it was important to me not to have to wait for the parts to arrive. Truck handles the plow fine, have 2887 springs in the front, truck is level when plow is up and with 400lbs of sand in the rear.
