I’m looking at getting a newer truck 2020+ and it seems like Michaels Toyota is the closest yet priciest dealer around. Anyone have any recommendations on dealers with good prices? I’ve heard marysville and Seattle toyota are more affordable.

Or honestly good platforms to keep an eye on for finding Tacomas. I’ve been perusing cargurus and Toyotas terrible website where you can’t specify anything.

    Take a look here:

My only advice is NOT Bremerton; any place else would be better than there.

Agreed, i went with my buddy a few years back to look at 4runners with him. They are shady and just overall shit dealership.

I bought my tacoma at doxon for below MSRP and the entire process was super easy. My only time purchasing from them but it was a fast/easy experience
My buddy ended up going to Toyota of Olympia for his 4runner and same thing, MSRP and easy purchasing process

I bought a Tacoma at Michael’s a few years back, and had a good experience. That was pre-covid. Things have changed there since and when I was shopping for my current truck the experience was terrible. Salesman was bad, there was a lot of conflicting info, they once had me drive over after work to “appraise” my trade again, and then I sat through traffic to get out there and the guy who was supposedly going to appraise it never even looked at it and just asked me “the window’s not broken, right?” And then they had some kind of detailing add-on for 800 bucks that they would not remove. It was just a very frustrating experience. I still use them for service, but not going to buy there again.

I bought at Marysville and it was a great experience. They were under MSRP, only dealt with one person the entire process (no having to go sit in the Finance room for example), they were up front about the pricing (no bullshit about warranties and add-ons) and kept me updated the whole way, there was a small issue with the cap on the tailgate on delivery that they quickly got fixed, etc. Would very much recommend Marysville.

I bought my Tacoma from Bremerton in Nov 2019 and got the best deal around. I guess it was a rather odd and a bit frustrating (I blamed the newer sales guy) experience but it worked out OK in the end. I ended up somewhere around 11% off MSRP at the time, and have never been back since taking delivery of my truck.

Was it the warranty/extended service plan they were trying to sell that was shady or financing?

Honestly we didn't even get that far. They told us they had multiple 4runners in stock, we had called because we saw them listed on their website as in stock/available. So they told us to come down and we could take a look at them etc.

We drove the probably 1-1.15 hours over to Bremerton after work and get there only to find out they have none of them in stock but were "expecting them in a few months" and that we could put a deposit down. So they lied to us about having the trucks and wasted 2-3 hours of time driving down there.

    Gotcha, that sucks.
My experience was very different, i was already in Tacoma so went to Bremerton to test drive what they had in stock, then when I was set on Cement, they did a dealer transfer/trade and I picked it up a few days later.

Well stated - this was certainly my experience with them.

Also, they have the absolutely worst Service Department that I have ever encountered in my long lifetime !!!

    Stock. For now.
I can only tell you to avoid Foothills Toyota of Burlington. When I was shopping back in December I had messaged them about a specific Tacoma they showed on the website.

    I got this response:
I rechecked the Lunar Rock Tacoma TRD Off-Road you originally requested info on, and unfortunately, it has been marked as "Damaged during Allocation." I don't know when we'll actually get that truck, or if we're going to get it all.

GOOD NEWS though, we have a near-exact Lunar Rock 2023 Tacoma TRD Off-Road in-stock and available, but the added FXP Package:

    My reply:
You’re kidding, right?!?! I show interest in a vehicle and you try to sell me one $10,000 OVER what I was interested in? If this is how you do business, I’ll shop elsewhere. And adding a $2,000 “market adjustment” also shows how Foothills does business. I’m seeing these tacomas all over theplace, and they aren’t adding $2,000 for “market adjustment”. That ship has sailed.
Thanks, but I’ll shop at an honest dealership.
