Recommendations for online ammo orders (California Delivery)

Now that there is an "open window" for online purchase and home delivery of ammo to California. Recommendations for online sources?
Does it matter or is it better to order from online sources in California, Arizona, Nevada?
Any recommendations or reliable secure websites would be appreciated.

 

I placed an order at Freedom Munitions, I think they are in Idaho. It really doesn't matter where you buy from but some out of state vendors probably won't ship directly to non FFL customers until it is settled in court.

Before the ammo background check became law, all of the vendors I bought from were out of state. And for some ammo like 458 SOCOM I had no choice because there were or are no vendors in California who carry it.

 

I see LAX Ammo and Sportsman's in California offering shipping to a home address. I'm looking for "TMJ/TMC" constructed ammo. (It's long story why!)
I didn't know anything about this type of ammo until a buddy requested visitors to his private range use this instead of FMJ. Hey, whatever it takes!
Unfortunately LAX Ammo and Sportsman's does not have that type of ammo.

 

Bullets in TMJ/TMC ammo are completely enclosed in plating, versus FMJ which the backside is not, the lead is exposed.

 

TargetSports has been okay before when ordering cases (free shipping).

 

I just did Bereli, Freedom Munitions and Midway USA. Lax is another one of my go to favorites but they were sold out by the time I checked.

A little details please. Can you or can't you order ammo and have it shipped to your home?

 

No it’s officially illegal. Back to background checks which means no ordering of ammo online I reckon all orders that have not been sent out will all be cancelled and refunded

Back in the day both used to. Moot point now in California. bummer!

To clarify what just happened, Bonta went to the 9th Circuit Court for an emergency stay and the Motions Panel granted it. The process will continue to the Merits Panel to review the permanent injunction from Benitez. If they do their job correctly that should lift the stay while the case continues through the appeals process.

California will be California and attempt to circumvent and or bypass the processes that are in place if anything does not go it's way.

For those not familiar with California ammo laws, you could buy and have ammo shipped directly to your residence like any other state until 2016, when a ballot measure was approved by voters that required background checks for ammo. Now ammo could only ship to licensed ammunition vendors and a background check was required.

I don't remember exactly what the numbers were, but if the majority of the firearm owners in California went out and voted that measure could have easily been defeated.

I'm thinking they found a way over the weekend to reverse it?

I watch this type of news as close as I can, but sometimes I lose track.

 

The California AG was granted a stay, it doesn't reverse the injunction but puts it on hold.

 

California is like a 2 year old, if it doesn't get it's way it starts screaming and throwing temper tantrums then it becomes hard to follow.

 

More bad news.

Looks like Ca is background checks and no online ammo orders again.

 

They used to in CA. Outside of CA they still do.

I got a couple cases coming this week.

 

The 9th shoots down these rulings. The only real long term "win" for overturning CA bans would be from SCOTUS.

Bummed as I didn't order particular items from Midway as I had already ordered them from OP. I swore last time I ordered anything from OP I would newer do it again.
