Recommendations Fender Liner Sheet Material???

Hey guys, does anyone have any recommendations on a good cheap material that could be used for lining fenders (like sheet rubber or something)?? My OEM ones are long gone, and I'm trying to find something I can line them with to keep the sand and mud out of the engine bay with.

Currently I have some rubber sheets from a tool box I had, but need something bigger and a little cheaper than 60$ a mat.

... Was considering a good really thick vinyl tarp, or a huge sheet of gasket maker (but thatd probably be expensive)


and please avoid the urge to say don't use them haha .... yeah I know that's an option

Maybe some rubber floor mats? Might be able to find some fancy plether (fake leter) material from a craft store.

I'm probably going to be in the same boat, the ones in my 1st gen are pretty bad off.

I looked through all the epm.... whatever types of rubber (uv,oil,and some other shit resistant). Ended up using tool box liner. I think it was 18"x72", 1/8" thick. $15 and it did both wells. It's held up 2 summers and one winter. (Canadian). I'll post some pics tomorrow for you.

 

I love that place. Although a lot of those panels I saw in the link were only at most 12x24", which might be big enough if you're careful with your cuts. I'm sure theres others in there I missed.

Meh. Like you said, they have a lot of stuff. I've been researching it for my self too. Actual fender liners and the engine bay covers. One guy on here actually sells the engine bay covers tho.

 

Thanks for the tips guys! Yeah Mcmaster was in the back of my head, was hoping I could resort to something locally but thatll probably have to work. Looks like theres some fabric reinforced ones too. The toolbox liner sheet I have now is ripping at the ziptie mounts which is why I was looking into other options

I went to a tire place and asked for an innertube. They had a few that didn't hold air and were $free.50. It was a little wrinkly and didn't lay flat but the price was right.

I order stuff from McMaster monthly, so I'll add a sheet on my next shipment.

 

You can find and buy precut slabs online all day only downside is the $/sq ft gets increased. 3x6ft slabs will come up short if your cutting 1 peice designs into the material or hoping it's cut right the 1st time. If you want to save yourself some time and money I've got precut sets that are put to the test everyday by TW members and proven to fit. Obv upgrade from factory especially for those that ride around with nothing there. Oh and I love shipping to my peoples in Hawaii!! @bullaculla already knows

Me however I need a full fender liner replacement. Going long travel and need something to line the entire fender well to protect the cabin intake and air intakes. Figured Id do the sides as well while I'm at it

 

Yeah, I need to do the whole front and rear fender liner too as I gutted mine to fit 37s. Also I don't have the stock shock towers.

 

Of course and the air intake cavity is especially important to have coverage from dirt dust etc. I'm n the middle of the r&d design for a set of precut fender liners to be direct replacements for stock liners. I'm upgrading the protection, coverage and design to close up the gaps and give it a clean ass look
