    Flame suit on.

I'm looking for the all terrain tire tire look but drive pretty much only on pavement. I don't tow or carry heavy loads so I only really need SL load range. Was thinking ultraterrains but Idk.

I'm on 265/70 17's, but I've been very happy with my Falken Wildpeaks. Been running them for about 6 months now. My truck is my DD and is mostly on-road.

I really like my Falken Wildpeak AT3s in 265/75r16. I've had them for almost a year and about 15k miles.

Cooper at3 4s are pretty good for this purpose. Nice and light, still off roadable.

I'll second the vote for the Cooper AT3 4s, I have about 30k on mine and run them daily. Quiet, great wet weather control and most of all, they're pretty reasonably priced for an A/T tire.

I also have the Coopers. I've had 4 or 5 sets since 2017 between 2 different trucks (including the model before they broke them down into the 4S, XLT, etc). Currently have about 80k miles on this current set, which was put on in December of 2020 and am hoping to make it to October to replace them. I had them rebalanced once at around 50k, although I'm sure it should be done more often no matter what tire you get.

Mine have some funky wear going on, but I think that's more related to the dealership overinflating and improperly rotating (and having the toe out of alignment for a bit) than anything. I also have some cracking going on, but they also have A LOT of heat cycles in them so I'm not surprised there.

But, I will say they're the best tires I've ever used in the winter that weren't dedicated winter tires so if that matters to you, I definitely wouldn't overlook them.

Also, for the record: most all terrain tires are designed with 95%+ pavement driving in mind so I wouldn't overthink that too much.

I’ve had both coopers at3 and Falken atw3 and they both are awesome. The Coopers do ride a bit softer imo.

Toyo open country at3's ftw. Made in Japan, balance with minimal weights, good tread life, quiet, smooth ride.

I’ve had both the cooper at3 4s and Goodyear ultraterrains. Coopers were great in all weather (particularly rain for an all terrain). But I started having weird balancing issues after a couple years. Probably was a random issue bc others haven’t had that problem.

The ultraterrains look way more aggressive and change the look of the vehicle. Worse in rain but still fine. No balancing issues. Only downside is that you immediately lose 1-2 mpg (which is pretty standard for ats).

Both sets of my tires were made in the USA. Can’t go wrong with either. Ultraterrrains def look more rugged.

Toyo ATIIIs are fantastic in my experience. I hated the Wildpeaks, I had a bad experience with them. I did also like General Grabber ATX but I like the Toyos better. Although, if you’re on pavement 95% you might be better served with an all season like Michelin Defender.

Yokohama G015, to me, is the quietest and smoothest AT tire in that range. They just aren't as aggressive as the Toyo's or WP's but get great mileage and are excellent in wet road conditions.

On my third set of Cooper Discover AT3s on my Tacoma. Average 65K miles. Have them on my 2004 Wrangler as well. Rotate every other oil change. Not too noisy on the highway, does pretty good off road as well.

Sons Nissan Frontier needs tires soon. That’s what’s going on.

    Depends where you're at.
Up in snow country I'm running Yokohama Geolandar X-AT's.
Hybrid tire for the guy that doesn't offroad much but can tear it up if you want to.
Quieter and better on snow than the BFG KO2's.

I have had both Falken Wildpeaks at3w and Goodyear Ultraterrain in 265 75 16 on a Tacoma .I like the ultraterrain better on the road. Quite as can be , light at 40 pounds and give you the aggressive look that you are wanting. If 95 percent of my time was on the road I would go Ultraterrain as they also have a deeper tread 16/32 compared to 13/32 for the Falken in SL You can't go wrong with either of those both are great.

I guess I should add that I am in snow country.
I went to discount tire website and filtered through all the tires with three peak mountains and for some reason the coopers don't have that?
There's so much wiping in them I would think they qualify, no?

After looking at Tire rack this looks like it might be an error on discount tires website.

Did you get these? I am looking at them now. I don't really do any off-roading and keep reading that All-Terrain tires suck in the rain. I was thinking this might be a good tire.
