I’m looking for inserts (hopefully removable) for the rear side windows to protect my search and rescue dog from people poking their fingers inside the truck while he’s in his kennel?
I’ve looked extensively online and no luck.

Does anyone know of or have these for their 3rd Gen?

    Thanks!

Haven't seen or heard of what you're looking for, but for what it's worth, I haven't seen anyone reach inside of someone else's vehicle and poke their dog either.
Possibly a toddler, but the window's four and a half feet off the ground..

There are idiots out there. I was walking up to my truck with my Rotti in the back seat and the window down. Guy says I stuck my hand in to pet him. I told him he was lucky he didn't pull back a stub. Some people are so stupid.

The solutions being posted for the rear window are nice, but not removable. I've also been looking for a removable
screen option, but haven't had much luck. Might have to design something myself.

For less than 15 bucks you can stick one of these on each window. Boom, problem solved.:homer:

Ha, ive had a no soliciting sticker on my front door for 10 years, they just ignore it and knock on it.

No one reads signs anymore, there are so many in our view every day that most people tune them out now.

Have you tried putting an "animals will bite" sticker just above your mail slot? You might get more solicitors to pay attention to that one...

My cousin in law is a dog training, she has those and "do not pet" patches on the service dogs she trains, people still walk up to pet them.

Google is not helping me, but there was an OE accessory that I installed on our 2001 Volvo wagon. They were manually retractable screens that were pressed into the door trim panel. They hooked onto the window and would move with the window.

I would bet that something similar could work on the Taco, but held to the clothing hook. This is the best pic that I can find from when our monkeys were little:

This one is awesome, but it's held in place with 3M tape, so it's not easily removed.

Nothing else I've seen will fit the rear window of the Tacoma properly.

I suck, ive been slacking on the 2gen. Second gen requires bonding pieces of plastic together so i can clear the rubber seal. Thats why ive been slacking, 3gen is a simple piece. But then again, i made this today and it fits both gens. :)
