Does the 2016 have a rear window defroster?

Nope. You really don't need one either.

Yea I guess you really don't need power seats either. You don't need a lot of these things but at this price point they should be standard.

    Oh I agree with that.

My wife's filling loaded IS 300 has heated everything and vented seats nav remote start leather and awd. That car was only 2500 more then this truck.

if that rear window was a full glass I could understand like the tundra (which do have heaters in the window), but I have seen exactly zero windows that has a split with a heater across any brand.

    1. There's a backup camera.
    2. Never had my rear window fog up
    3. Never opened my rear window
    4. Power seats suck wang

Toyota is not price gouging. I hate the argument that people are making, "at this price point I expect ________." The cost is the cost. It's ludicrous to ignore new outsourcing contracts, inflation, as well as the R&D budget. Other vehicles don't see this kind of jump in cost because they are redesigned more often than 11 years ago.

but if you look its a full window to have the rear defroster, not a split window.

Really in 2016 we should expect power sliding rear defrosting window. Gotta say i was disappointed this be standard on all trucks. Keep the hood scoop and give us features that mean something

My previous F-150 had a rear window with a power sliding section and the whole thing was heated/defrosted

They put rear view mirror defrosters, but not back glass? what's the logic there?

I live in the south and i use ( or would use) my back glass heater everyday to clear the morning dew/condensate

well I guess I was wrong then :)

just seems odd to have a rear defroster on a split window

My rear window defrost never worked or it didn't have rear window defrost. There is a button though.

Remove the headrest does help a little. I have to manually wipe the cloud every morning. I am in Seattle area.

I believe the button you see is for the exterior mirrors.

Im curious as to how badly the rear window will fog or freeze up here in Canada. Might be difficult to add the lines to the middle sliding piece though, especially for the people with 2017's and the power rear.
