Morning, it's been a while. Well after 92k miles on my 2016 SR 4 banger the first thing that broke due to wear and tear is the day night tab. A new mirror is expensive and was wondering if anyone has experience fixing the internals? The tab is still there but does not "engage" when I flip between day/night so have to manually angle mirror down at night.

    Cheers!

I don’t have any tips for repairing yours, but I replaced my oversized oem auto dim with a much smaller generic manual mirror from an auto parts store. Now I have the visibility to clear intersections without ducking to see below the mirror.
It sounds like yours is a manual so you could get a new generic one for like $15 bucks. Super easy to swap them out
