I apologize if this has been answered and if it’s a stupid question but I see these pockets in the rear leather seats near the seat bottom. Are these meant for the seat belt buckle??

I just started paying attention to those last night! I believe they are intended to tuck the buckle into so you don't have to finagle them when you put the seat back down. The way your picture shows them, you would have the dig them out or hold them in place when you put the cushion back down.

Yes, those pockets are for putting the buckle into when not in use / keep from being swallowed by abyss.

I just figured this out. Called my brother he’s got a taco also. He’s been cussing about seat belts falling under seat. I come on here to tell everyone. And you have already discovered it!
