2007 double cab. The child lock is off.
Had a full cab of people and noticed I couldn't control the rear passenger window. The other three worked. I asked the passenger to try their switch. Nothing. I slammed the window lock control a couple times then tried again from the master switch. Nothing. Asked passenger to try and when she pushed down it went down a couple inches before she tried up again. Won't go up. Clicked down real quick and it went down. Again tried up but nothing.

I have no idea how long it has had an issue possibly months. I rarely use the rear windows. Now it's raining and stuck down a quarter of the way. Unfortunately I can't get into it until Thursday so I'll just have to put a trash bag over it until then. Has anyone had this problem?

Since it goes down fine I assume the motor is working. As far as I understand the window motor changes direction by changing polarity. So if it works for down it has to be a switch issue right? But would that mean the master switch is tied into the passenger switch somehow? I can't imagine both switches would malfunction within a month or two of each other but it's possible. I'll be able to pull them out and examine them Thursday but just wanted to get some thoughts from the brilliant forum members here in the meantime. Thanks!

If I read your question correctly, the issue is

The rear passenger window only goes down using the rear passenger switch.
It does not work at all with the master (drivers) switch.

    Is this correct?

    Yes, it is this exactly.

Switch to rear doors are same. Remove the one that works and place it on dysfunctional door. Get it to close. Then check the removed switch. Or just remove the switch and place jumper to duplicate switch.

If that doesn’t work. (And it may not since the master switch doesn’t work on DOWN)
It could likely be a bad Down side of the Rear Passenger Switch on the MASTER SWITCH.

Take look at the MS. It provides the GROUND for the UP on the Rear Door Switch.
If I read it correctly, there is only one way that the MS can not work on Down, but the Rear Door Switch can work going Down.

I think he said it was the passenger.
Wouldn’t that make it the Rear RH?

Yes, it looks like you have the route traced correctly.

I would start by double checking the inside fuses by your left knee then check for voltage at both pw switches.

The 30A handles all the power to all the doors when actuating the switches of the Power Window Master Switch.
Passenger doors also have their own fuse.
OP stated that down is somewhat functional. So not the POWER to the switch.
Removing the affected switch and inspecting it for damage, corrosion, etc. would be my first action. Also look into the connector for signs of burnt, rust, etc. before swapping with a known working switch.

Do the panels need to come off before the switches?

You guys are amazing! Thank you so much!

Yes to one post, the fuses are good. (DOWN/UP on master switch not working at all. DOWN working on RP side only. UP on neither.)

The wiring diagrams are incredibly helpful. Thank you. I'm excited to get into this on Thursday.

Thanks again for all the help!

I didn't get in until late last night so finally got to this today. I pulled the working switch rear drivers side and put it on the rear passenger side. Functionality was restored to both the rear passenger switch and rear passenger switch on the master switch.

Opened the bad switch up cleaned all contacts. After putting it back in every switch in the vehicle is now working. Thanks for all the help!

I had the same problem caused by corrosion in the switch. It really isn't hard to disassemble entirely and clean up all the contacts. A new one is way too expensive at $60+.

Had same problem, but with passenger front door. I replaced the switch in that door and both switches worked afterwards.

Reviving a dormant thread, but my right rear passenger "down" function has also died. It started failing intermittently late last year, but I was too busy to deal with it. I also took the truck in for inspection in early February and asked them to check on this. They said the part was back-ordered. This was two months ago, and it's still on backorder. I figure I'll handle it myself, but I'm not finding what I need (until I found this thread). The Dorman website has the full unit housing that resembles mine but says it's not a match fit for a 2013 Doublecab. This Front Right & Rear switch also does not fit. The only match they have is for the front right door. I need the right rear door, and the longer button like the full unit housing linked above.
