I have a 2012 TRD with factory tow hitch.
I will be replacing my rear bumper with an OEM Toyota bumper and will using my existing tow hitch.
My question is: Is it best/easiest to remove the rear bumper only (leaving the hitch assembly installed on the truck) and then install my replacement OEM bumper? Or would it be be easier to remove my tow hitch/bumper as a unit, bolt up the hitch assembly to my new bumper while all of the parts are off of the truck and then reinstall the bumper/tow hitch assembly as a unit back onto the truck?
    Thanks.

I just found another thread that I missed in a previous search with the best upper removal process so my questions has been answered. Thanks

Might as well post a link to that thread in case others have a hard time finding it and find this thread instead...

I ended up just removing the chrome bumper along with the "bumper support bar/bracket" from the hitch assembly. Two bolts on either side where the bumper support bar/bracket bolts to the hitch assembly. Was able to pull the existing bumper assembly (chrome bumper, plastics, support bar/bracket) off with a little persuasion and then back on with the new bumper assembly.
