I'm sure there's a thread about this somewhere but I don't know if I just suck with the search feature or what but I can't for the life of me find pictures of a 2nd gen taco without a rear bumper. I have the stock chrome bumper with a barely noticeable dent and I'm tired of looking at it but I'm not trying to buy a rear bumper just yet. Anybody have any pictures of their truck without the rear bumper?

2nd gen tacomas aren't like the older Toyota trucks that had the option to be without a bumper. Some older Toyota pickups didn't even come with a bumper from the factory, but the body was built to look fine without it. Plus if your state has a safety inspection it will fail without a bumper if it came with a bumper.

I'd be shocked if you couldn't find a rear bumper delete filler panel over on the XRunnrr forum.

Nothing like looking at frame rail ends and trailer hitch instead of a dented bumper

I remember ordering and installing a rear bumper for one of the two wheel drive trucks I had.

normally what you would have done was get out the car when you were rear ended to cause that bumper dent and call insurance for a $1300 check to buy a fabricated high clearance for better looks, more clearance, crash protection, and trail protection

    simple

Plasti-dip all the chrome in black. One of my favorite things I’ve done to my truck!

So I'm not allowed to just drive around without a rear bumper in my 2nd Gen... OK good to know. Does this also mean I can't pass the reinforcement beam as a rear bumper?
