K&N Drop in, Bilstein 5100's in front with Readylift kit on top for a 3 in. lift in the front and a 1 in. block in the rear. Next project is going to be TRD Supercharger and Camburg coilover long travel system with custom skid plate and tubes. Maybe some new tires and wheels then..
I can tell you that Readylift has bullet proof strut extensions..Id go with theirs over Daystars anyday..I blew my stock yellow bilstein out on the trail last week and I have a Readylift setup in the front..that thing didnt even flex at all..it was solid..no bends..for an inexpensive lift..get Readylift theyre solid..the stock bilstein snapped right in two..I had to get off the hill and trail riding on my bumpstop all the way home..little over an hour drive..nothing else was wrong with the truck other than my strut being snapped..

I want to see how these turn out and what mpg difference it causes. I might be installing these this summer with some taller tires.

Will my automatic tranny act odd with an oversized tire? I don't want to re-gear unless necessary.

Any chance we could fit 33" tires with that lift?

What kind of tires you looking at? And do you think 33"s would be too big?

    gm3bow,
how's your mileage with the 29's?
I'm planning on getting this setup but am waiting for someone else to take the plunge first.

You can theoretically go higher, but it will cost more. The front suspension is not designed to extend much higher and so you'd have to start replacing components with better ones (like totalchaos does)

If I wanted to go higher, I'd have boughten a prerunner or a 4x4. This lift just brings me up to prerunner height.

Oh ok, because all I wanted to do was bring it up to Prerunner height. Are you sure that the Prerunner is only 3" higher than the base model?

I went this route because I drive 100+ miles a day on the freeway in southern california traffic. It's my first automatic and it really makes my drive easier. No way I could have gotten a singlecab prerunner with an automatic so I got this figuring that if I needed more clearance they'd eventually have a lift kit. Glad this came out because I was considering the pricier totalchaos kit. I don't need that, I just need better clearance for the dirt roads I frequent.

Could you 5 lug guys use Spindles in the front and a custom leaf pack in the rear? I know We PreRunners can get a 4" lift with Spindles....

I have to admit, I have V6 envy... but this is my first car that was given to me by my parents.. so no complaints. Once, I get out of college I'll get myself a bigger truck but until then I just want some larger tires (the stock ones look wimpy) and a little more lift.

yeah my gf really wanted a 4x4 or prerunner but we had a smoking deal on this 5lug i figured the extra 5k we could find something like this readylift kit and put a winch on it
