Might be a dumb question but here goes. What bolts need to be retorqued after lifting the truck? How often? I haven't been able to find any guides or videos that gives specific info. Where do you find torque specs for your specific truck?

    Thanks

I find that if I have any questions about my truck and type them into the google machine followed by the phrase “Tacomaworld” I get a lot of good results. I don’t really care for the search function on the site itself.

What the dude above me said.

You want to check your u bolts on your leaf pack after 1-200 miles.

Depends on the lift. All bolts aren't a bad idea. But typically.

UCA bolts (if replaced). All LCA eccentric bolts after alignment. Rear leaf spring ubolts.

Check to see all the shock cushions are seated with weight.

I would check anything that was touched. I second the leaf pack. Headed to a trip last year work a new pack and stopped to check and had several loose nuts on the ubolts

    Absolutely every bolt touched!

Sorry, I assumed the OP would've known.

U bolts for damn sure after driving a bit at about 100, and again at 1,000.

When I installed my suspension a couple weeks ago, I remember seeing 90lbs in the directions. That’s what mine are torqued to. Hope this helps.

Isn’t the reason for torquing to spec to not be worried about it coming loose? Does Toyota retorque your bolts? Serious questions.

    Do they (Toyota)? No.
    But they tell YOU to.

BTW, No, I don’t recheck many at all.

^^This! Same thing happened to me on the leaf pack bolt. Had the nut come completely off and the bolt was working it's way out. I must have missed re-torqueing it when I re-torqued after 100 miles. Was kind of a pain to get a new bolt and nut and replace.

I've started using this to mark the nuts so you can visibly see if they have backed off:

On a prior vehicle I double nutted the U-bolts. Will do again, after retorqueing.
