RCI bed rack

I’ve been doing research, but I cannot seem to find an answer.

Will the 2nd gen RCI bed rack fit in the 3rd gen? From what I’ve read, the only difference between the 2 is the length and depth, by approx 1”

Aside from that, the width is the same.

 

The difference between the 2nd & 3rd gen is the mounting location on truck’s bed trail. If you’re buying it used, it should be an easy mod/fix to make the mounting hole align.

The rack you have linked is our older model "fixed" width rack designed specifically for Tacomas. You can absolutely use that rack on the 2nd or 3rd Gen trucks without modification! You will need the set of track nuts and all the mounting hardware to come with it. Those racks are designed with a slotted foot that will reach to the bed rail in both generations of trucks.

The "adjustable" width bed racks we build now are much more versatile for the majority of trucks on the market. The adjustable racks will also allow the use of our Tonneau Adapter set, should you decide later on down the road that you want a bed cover.
