Does anyone here have a RCD lift on their truck? If so what do you like about it. Would you change anything and what would you recommend on getting with the lift? Do the Stock wheels and tires fit with the lift till I can get spacers or rims at a later date? Any tips and tricks for the install of the lift would be appreciated also.

I plan on doing some off roading and trail driving but not on a regular basis.

A 3" lift will give you more clearance :gossip:

Needing clearance at my axles isn't why I'm looking at this lift. I like the looks and stance it gives and I can a 33x12.5 tire. If you have measurements to show that tho please share. I was wondering just how much clearance the lift gives at the lowest point on the front of the truck.

Thank you for showing me the link. I haven't been able to find reviews at all about the lift. Everyone on there that has the RCD lift loves it with no issues or rubbing. I like that the stock CV angles is retained with the lift. The lowest point on the guys RCD lifted truck is 12" just like my buddies is with his Bilstein 3" lift. I think I'm going to keep with the purchase of the 4-5" RCD lift. Now I just need to see about the other questions I have lol.

Sweet thank you. I tried searching earlier and didn't have any luck finding a thread for the lift.

This is the lift I am going with also ,my question is about the shocks ,do the bilstiens work good for hitting the bigger whoops that are in the dunes as I hit silver lake a couple times a year ,or should I get it with the fox ? I want this over a 3" as it looks awesome with 33s,I also want a nice ride on the road too

I agree. The bilstein shocks are nice shocks but for the woops is rather have the shocks/coil overs that have remote reservoirs.

That's pretty much what I was thinking too,I just need confirmation to justify the extra cost ,my buddy just bought a raptor so I will need some good suspension to have a chance while out in the dunes ,if money wasn't a issue I would go long travel but the rcd seems to be exactly what I want ,who has the best deals on a rcd with fox shocks ?

I've had mine for about a year and a half. I love the ride quality and tire clearance it gives. It works well for the type of off-roading I do (nothing too serious). I also like the design of the lift in that it retains downward wheel travel (had 3" lift on previous truck). If I were to do it again, I'd go with the Fox shock option. I went with new rear leaf springs and UCAs. Yes, stock tires fit with the lift, but would look pretty ridiculous. Install advice would be to measure many times before cutting and make sure you have all the tools needed before starting. The lift isn't that difficult to do, it's just time consuming.

How much clearance do you have from the bottom of the frame to the ground from all sides? What tires do you run and do you have spacers or rims with the 4.5" backspacing or less?

Where exactly would you like the measurements? The frame isn't an exactly straight line. I'm running 33x12.50R17 tires on 17x9, 4.5" BS wheels. The woman is running 285/70R17 tires on 17x9, 4.5" BS wheels on hers. I can take measurements on both. Her tires are a little taller than mine.

Under the middle of the front new cross member, middle of the truck at the frame and middle of the rear bumper/frame. Just wondering what type of clearance from the bottom of the truck to the ground we get. I now the rear end won't get taller without taller wheels no matter what lift you put on it.

My truck. 33x12.50R17 tires with around 50% tread on 17x9 wheels.

    Measured tire height - 31.5"

Middle of front crossmember - 12"
Middle of truck at frame - 19 3/4"
Rear horizontal trailer hitch bar - 24 1/4"

Woman's truck. 285/70R17 tires with around 75% tread on 17x9 wheels.

    Measured tire height - 32"

    Middle of front crossmember - 12 3/8"
Middle of truck at frame - 19 7/8"
Rear horizontal trailer hitch bar - 24 1/2"

Sweet! Thank you for getting those measurements. That's a lot of clearance! I'm getting super excited! Tax season can't come fast enough lol.

For comparison, I had 13" of clearance in the front on my previous truck that had an OME 3" lift running 285/70R17 tires. That measurement was taken at the stock skid plate.
