Raptor lights or no raptor lights tiz the question

like most, one of my first "mods" to my tacoma was raptor lights. 4 in the grill.

Now that i've had my truck for almost two years im thinking i may take them out.

What is your opinion?

 

I always thought they looked stupid, but to each his own.

 

Not my style. I’d yank them.

Well it’s not a Raptor so why would you want your truck to look like one? I can see putting personal touches on your rig but now everyone’s brother in law has them on their Tacos and 4-runners so, yesterdays flavor like Fortnite. All whored out

 

thank you guys for your input. I don't think the intention of the lights are to make it look like a raptor.

I do like the idea of cleaning up the look of the front end.

 

I tried them and they didn't last too long. Look stupid and I pulled them off.

Unless you've done mods to your truck that make it over 80 inches wide I'd take them off. If that's the case add the rear-facing red ones as well so that you comply with 49 CFR 571.108. But hey, it's your truck, do as you will.

 

Toyota doesn’t manufacture Raptors, IMO its the same as running a Tesla badge on a Kia….Goofy.

 

mine had them when i bought it used. I gave them a chance to grow on me, but they just looked cheap. Took them off and never looked back

 

I use them for my low beams, because daylight running lights are already amber. It helps in rain & night to make truck more visible for obviously stupid people who might be too blind to see 2ton truck.

Whole point of amber leds are to make truck visible to others, that's why you see them on construction vehicles, or simply full size trucks, semi trucks.

Using them on running day light doesn't makes much sense because if its raining , foggy, snowy you turn low beams on. So in hazard conditions basically you need low beams and amber, so why not set them same.

 

sell them & buy some better radio knobs or something that you will use

 

Makes no sense but okay.

 

It is not a Ford. I don't think they belong on there.
