The Raptor is over 80 inches wide. Legally, this required additional lights. Traditionally, these light are placed on the roof. That is where most duallys still have them.
Ford decided to put them in the grille as an alternative to the roof.

Because the Raptor is cool, people started copying these amber marker lights on other vehicles less than 80 inches wide.

Here is an alternate option for a hood scoop specifically designed for Toyota Trucks meant to mount to and off road hood not a sport hood.

ALSO, DOT requires 5 lights, which is why the raptor uses 3 in the grille and the 2 marker lights for 5. Most taco raptors use 4 in the grille for 6 total.

So they don't even get the correct number of lights on a mod that they copied from a truck that they don't know why it has it.

If you got rid of that color matched first step, that would actually look pretty alright I think.

Raptors, and every large truck on the road. It's not a Ford thing, it's a DOT thing. It does however make me think of scenes where a shadow of a big cat looms but only a kitty shows up but that's not a criticism, just an observation. Our trucks too small to need them but they do add a certain something.

I like them only on the Raptor. Installed on anything else, it’s copied...these copied Raptor parts are like the rice of the late 90’s and 2000’s but for trucks and SUVs. These kinda remind me of this stupid LED washer nozzles..

Make a casting of the grill hex, make a mold, fill it with amber tinted epoxy resin, drill a 3mm hole in the back and glue in a 3mm led, repeat all but the first two steps 3 times.
